Hello! Im Elle, and I am the photographer behind Rogue Paws Photography.
Inspired by the loss of our beautiful red cattle dog Abby, this podcast was born from the desire to keep her memory alive. A legacy to honour the incredible girl she was, and the huge impact she had in our home and heart.
Tails of the heart tells YOUR stories of resilience, adventure, love, loss and life lessons with the most incredible dog/human connection at the heart of each tale!
We also speak to industry experts from all areas of the animal industry as they share their incredible wealth of knowledge in their specific field.

Claire, George and Douglas
**Trigger warning: This episode touches on infertility.
In this episode we talk to Claire about her beautiful boys Douglas and George.
Claire shares how the timing of required shoulder surgery and time off work led to taking the leap and welcoming Doug into the family, as their first dog since starting life in New Zealand- half a world away from their entire support network.
Claire shares how a sliding door moment lead to entering into the world of agility with Doug, and why it has since become such a huge passion for her and the boys.
Claire talks about the heartbreak of infertility, the challenges associated with IVF and the toll it all took on her mental health, leading to the adoption of George.
With George came a whole lot of love, and a whole lot of challenges. Claire shares the struggles they had with George in the early days, as they soon found out he had a long list of behavioral challenges, as well as some physical obstacles to overcome. Throw in the mix an unexpected (but incredibly welcomed) pregnancy within the first 12 months of George joining the family, it is hard to fathom how Claire even managed all that she did!
Claire is doing such a beautiful job, raising a kind human, while still helping George through some behavioral challenges and continuing with agility with both the boys.
This episode is heartwarming as much as it is heartbreaking.
It is the most incredible reminder of how much dogs can help us truly live a life that is meaningful.
